Norman Distribution is pleased to announce the acquisition of Ken Young Food Distributors.For over 40 years, the Ken Young Family has serviced hundreds of retailers in the Greater Chicago Area with staple groceries, condiments, and sauces.
Ken Young Foods was founded in 1968 by Kenneth Young Sr., to be later taken over by four of his children, Ken, Bud, Theresa, and Tony. The Foundation of Ken Young Foods was built by instilling the best values and qualities of a “Mom and Pop Shop” and applying it to Distribution. To this day, Ken Young Foods is known amongst their customers for their honesty, unparalleled service, and fierce customer loyalty. Their work ethic, strong relationships, and service are aspects of their business that allowed them to be a valued distributor for many well-known Chicagoland Retailers, while building brands that would become staples in our kitchens.
With the acquisition, Norman Distribution is not only able to offer a greater selection of grocery products to our current customers, but previous Ken Young customers will be able to utilize Norman’s entire catalog of Better-For-You Snack, Beverage, and Grocery products. Norman Distribution is taking great care in working with the Ken Young staff to ensure a positive transition for all Ken Young customers and employees.
